OSDP readers – MmSID system

MicroMade’s secure identification system for the OSDP protocol

The MmSID system is a great solution for those who want to build secure access control systems based on any controllers compatible with the OSDP protocol.

The MmSID system consists of:

  • OSDP readers for Mifare® cards – the MM-R7x series
  • Mifare®DESFire® cards (recommended)
  • MmSID KeySafe for secure storage of the installation’s main cryptographic keys
  • the MM-A70 card programmer
  • MmSID Manager interface for reader programming
  • MmSID Config maintenance software for configuration of system devices

Main MmSID system features:

  • MmSID readers work with any controller compatible with readers that use the OSDP protocol (according to the EN 60389-11-5 standard)
  • the system can be used to build access control systems even with the 4th (highest) security level, according to the EN 603389-11-1 standard
    • encrypted OSDP communication between the controller and the readers
    • mutual authentication between card and reader using AES128 algorithm
    • encrypted sessions for communication with card
    • cards protected from unauthorized modification and copying
  • cryptographic keys generated locally for each installation ensuring system safety
